SaleJoséphine Zitta (b. 1999, based in Brussels) works across jewellery, object, and sculptural hardware. Her practice explores the space between adornment and object.
Through scanning, sculpting, and casting personal belongings and collected items, she reflects on attachment and tenderness, gathering objects, toys, and keepsakes as points of departure.
Her process moves from paper models and 3D scans to resin and wax prototypes, which are rescaled, assembled, and cast in bronze, aluminium, or sand-based materials.
She explores the contrast between something tender and intimate, linked to childhood, fragility and memory, and something harder, stronger, and more industrial brought by the material.
Casting operates both as an act of preservation, archiving memories, and as a way of creating objects that become new tools of defense and protection.
Her work gathers the stories, emotions, and secrets carried by objects, while reactivating them as companions and wearable pieces.
